Developmental Edit + Line Editing Package

This package involves two full rounds of editing. The first round is a comprehensive developmental edit including a detailed editorial report and comments throughout the manuscript to discuss the big picture aspects of plot and storytelling as well as character development, worldbuilding, dialogue, and pacing. Once you are satisfied with your author revisions, it’s time to move on to the second round of editing which includes a full line edit to improve the story at the paragraph, sentence, and word level.

The first round of editing covers:

Detailed plot analysis
Pace
Character development
Dialogue
Style and voice
Continuity issues
Logic and consistency
Point of view
Setting or worldbuilding
Use of imagery
Detailed chapter and scene analysis
Light fact-checking
A detailed editorial report and comments throughout the manuscript

The second round of editing covers:

Check over author revisions after the first round
Correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Rewrite sentences to correct structure issues
Make sure information is clearly stated, easy to follow, and important to the manuscript
Check for consistent voice and style throughout manuscript
Characters act or speak in a logical and realistic manner
Includes Track Changes so you can review, accept, or ask about all changes and suggestions
Light Fact-checking
You can submit one chapter at a time or the entire manuscript all at once
Rewrite sentences or reorganize paragraphs, but leave big picture items alone
a final optional followup round to review the manuscript after author revisions to address any final changes or answer enquiries
